After renovating a mansion in Waco, Texas, Magnolia’s founders are showing off the fruits of their labor in the sixth and final installment. Fixer Upper: Castle.
“This project was the top of all renovations. I mean, these historic restorations are a whole different ball game,” Chip said in an exclusive clip shared. Parade.com. “When you think about the exterior, we redid the stone and I would say it was like a new, fresh version of the castle, but it was very controversial.”
Joanna added, “Any other house, I feel like I know what I want and I’m direct, I’m fast. Every time I come to the castle, I feel like I’m frozen in some kind of paralysis. And I don’t know what decision to make.”

of The stories we tell The author admitted in the exclusive clip that the castle stone was “kind of messed up”. “I had to chip in and make a decision because I didn’t want to screw it up and now every time I pick up I feel like it’s a good decision,” Joanna says.

of Magnolia table In her memoir, Star said Chip saw the “beauty and potential” in the property years ago. “Without a doubt, this is a better fix than any other we’ve ever offered,” Joanna wrote. Although we have little idea what it will be, what Chip knows, in his bones, and what I’ve learned to see is this: past the cracks in the masonry, past the rotting pavement, as the desert dominates the yard, there’s a lot of beauty to be found in this old castle.

While it was impossible to know exactly how their adventure would turn out at the time, Joanna wrote, “The dream—Chip’s dream from so many years ago, the dream of what this wonderful old house could be—is still very much alive: because Chip and I have learned to be faithful to the process. On the other hand, we know intimately the reward that awaits us, the reward that comes willingly to fight for something in a project, or let us not even recognize it within ourselves, let alone trust that there is beauty in everything.
